IPad Can't Find MX920 To Airprint
No issues printing with computer though
Wireless connection to iPhone/Surface 2
I recieved a Canon MG2922 for Christmas. I have still been unsuccessful getting this printer connected. Instryctions are pretty weak, followed over and over without success. Any suggestions? My IP is Xfinity, which is usually pretty simple to connect electronics too.
can't find wireless mx892 when installing drivers
I am trying to install mp68-win-mx890-1_03-ea24.exe and there are several wireless routers in the house. It doesn't matter which one I select because it says it cannot locate the printer wirelessly. I don't know what more I could do. The printer is on and I have the correct drivers for the Pixima MX892. Any help would be appreciated.
Wireless Scanning to Chromebook
Hello!
I have a Canon Pixma MG5520 and I've been trying to find a way to get it to scan and save to my HP Chromebook. I know Chromebooks are a little different than a regular PC, but is there any way I can do it? I've tried looking for the IP address thru my printer, but was unsuccessful doing that (in doing so, i even somehow lost the connection between my printer and my computer then had to reregister my printer). Help!
PIXMA MG 6250 wireless set-up and Air Print set up for Apple OSX El Capitan OS
Hi,
I just bought a new Apple lap-top (El Capitan OS, version 10.11.5). My PIXMA 6250 printer continues to work fine on a USB connection, but -- unlike with my previous lap-top running the Yosemite OS -- it no longer works on a WIFI connection. What's more, it would be nice to use the Air Print feature from my iPad.
So I tried to reinstall the PIXMA 6250 software from the CD-ROM. In the process, I get a message "the OS version is unsupported". When I bypass this and select the "Select Wireless LAN set-up", a message then tells me to "Press and hold the WPS button on the Access Point and hold for 5 seconds".
Now, where is this WPS button? I'm based in France, and I don't have a router to speak off. I do have this contraption from the national cable network, though, for WIFI, cable TV and internet phone access (they call it the Live Box here). I did take the chance of pressing a button that's beneath a WIFI-looking icon for 5 seconds, but then my WIFI network connection went blank, and I could no longer find my network from the WIFI drop-down menu.
So my question is this: 1/ Is the PIXMA 6250 printer supported by the new El Capitan OS, and can it print using a WIFI connection? 2/ If so, how can I implement this function, as well as Air Print, on my new lap-top?
Man thanks for your help,
Pierre
TS6020
Can a TS6020 be connected to a PC running Vista SP2 by USB and still be able to print wireless from a MAC. I tried installing the printer on the PC to work wireless but the printer sees that it needs to print but never gets the data to be printed.
MF212w - wireless scan doesn't work
I have MF212w and after recent backing up of my OS, I can no longer use wireless scan. It prints just fine, but scanner keeps claiming that PC isn't connected. My PC doesn't see it as well, and scanner driver doesn't even install - it says "try again" over and over. Reinstalling drivers and cleaning registry or temporal files doesn't help.
I'm running Windows 7 32bit.
Canon MX922 No Longer Discoverable
I recently moved and connected my MX922 to the new wifi. It connects fine and the blue wifi symbol is lit up to signify it has wifi. The problem is that my iPhone and iMac can no longer wirelessly print to it. This was never an issue at my previous home so I'm not sure what has gone wrong. Can anyone help? I dont receive any error message, as the printer doesn't even show up when I try to wirelessly print.
Thanks in advance for the help!
PIXMA MX452 will not stay connected to WiFi
I have an ASUS N56U router and a PIXMA MX452 printer. Although they got along fine for a while, for quite some time the printer loses its connection and I must either reboot the router or the printer in order to re-establish a connection. After a scanning job, it loses that connection almost immediately. After a print job it will stay connected, but usually not very long after some inactivity... usually less than an hour.
Is this an issue with the router or the printer? I have searched numerous times looking for a solution to this specific problem and have not seen it addressed. I had general connectivity issues with the ASUS for quite some time, but resolved them some time ago with a firmware update. This problem has been going on for quite some time.
If this is an issue with something faulty in the printer or an issue with all ASUS routers and Canon printers, I would like to know. I either need to resolve this or purchase another printer or another router. And without knowing if this is isolated to ASUS or Canon, I cannot make an informed decision should it come to that.
Any help from Canon or the user community would be most appreciated.
Reinstall MX860 after Network Reconfiguration
I recently upgraded my home network to use an eero Mesh Network. The network install went fine and all of my devices are attached except for my MX860 printer. I've tried for the last two days to reinstall it, but, I'm having difficulty.
I first tried to install it as wireless since that's how I was using it before the network change. I was able to get to the point in the install where it asks to connect to an access point. I have a three unit eero mesh. Each unit has the same SSID, and, that's not something I can change. So, when the install asked me to pick one, it complained saying that there was another AP with the same name. It would not let me proceed further. I then tried to manually define the AP, but, that also failed.
I next tried to connect the printer directly to the AP with an Ethernet cable. The install could not find the printer. I tried connecting it directly to my Cable Gateway, and, got the same message that it could not detect my printer.
Does anyone know how I extract myself from printer Hell.....?
MAXIFY MB5450 print documents from neighbors ...
Hello.
I own a Maxify MB5450 which is connected via Ethernet to my office network. The office has Wifi access but all devices are MAC-filtered so I doubt that anyone can access my local network through my Wifi. Google Cloud printing and similar is not configurated. I allready reseted the printer in case that some old config was in the device (even though I bought it new)...
Still - every once in a while the printer will start to print some kitchen cooking instructions which are queded in the moment (print time appears on the paper) even if all PC's are switched off and nobody but me is in the office. I'm about to knock on every neighbors door just to find out who it is and how it is possible at all but before I start to annoy everybody - maybe somebody has a better idea how this is possible at all.
Thanks in advance for any possible advice on this.
Why does my Wi-Fi light keep blinking? I have to shut down and restart many times to print.
Almost every time I have to print, I have to restart my printer, sometimes many times, before it will print. Sometimes it says new IP address, but it is always the one chosen in the Control Panel. This is very frustrating. Please help!
Unable to print Wireless
I conncected the wireless router to the printer but it will not let me print. I have to connect with the USB cable. Why will it not let me print without the cord? I have read several of the discussions in the forum and have had no luck.
Thanks
MG3650 Name of Router Changed
Hello.
We have a Canon MG3650 and recently decided to change our wifi's name from its standard BT name to something fun. Now the printer wont print. How do i get it to recognise the new wifi's name?
mx 920 series printer won't remain connected to wifi
I am having the same problem as many others. I love the printer, but every time I need to print, it's "offline".
what is the solution? I am using windows 10.
Not connecting to wifi, now none of my devices are.
I'm going to preface this by saying I'm not super hip to how all this stuff works and my vocabulary will likely be incorrect. However, I appreciate anyone who can bare with my and give me some sort of direction.
I just received a Canon MX490 wireless printer and started installing it today. I had gotten to the connect to wifi part, entered my wifi password, and it was successful.
Then, upon further investigation of a separate document, I hadn't gone through all the necessary steps to enable printing from my iPhone. So, I downloaded the app. Searched for the "canon j.whatever" in my wifi network settings and tapped it and here's where everything went screwy.
I was no longer able to connect the printer to my wifi, neither on the actual machine, nor through the app. What's more, is suddenly NONE of my other devices are able to connect to the network. My iPhone 6 says I've got an incorrect passphrase, which is malarky. I have entered it upwards of 17 thousand times at this point, I've checked and rechecked that I'm entering the thing correctly. My tablet says "some info has changed since last time" on the network list, and then "incorrect password" when I enter it. My laptop is more of the same.
On my phone, I have tried forgetting the network and rejoining, force restart, resetting network settings, and turning off the wifi location service settings. On my router, I have tried the WPS button, and unplugged and replugged everything. All to no avail.
Something funky went on when I tried to hook up that printer and now I'm frustrated and desperate 😫. Please help.
Thanks so much!
Canon MG 3520 wireless Scanning
I have owned this printer for a few years and up until last fall have never had a problem. I am able to print wirelessly with no problem at all. However, when I go to scan using the IJ Scan Utility, I have to restart my computer to get it to work. I get an error message every time I try to scan that says:
Cannot communicate with scanner for these reasons:
- Scanner is turned off.
- (If using Wired LAN connection) It is disconnected from Wired LAN.
- (If using wireless LAN connection) Signal strength is poor due to obstructions.
- Network connection is prohibited by security software.
- Different scanner on the network is selected.
Please check and try again.
I have had numerous calls to support and every time they run through the same motions with me, checking my wireless connection which is always working fine. They have me reinstall the software and drivers and restart my computer and then it works. But then I hang up and a few days later try to use it again and I get the same error message. The last time I called they told me it was an issue with my router ports so I called Verizon Fios and they helped me adjust my router settings and then it worked. However, since then I haven't needed to use it and just today went to scan again and received the same error message. I'm at my wits end and am ready to get rid of a completely fine printer because I can't scan reliably when I need to. I use a MacBook Air and I am running Sierra version 10.12.2. I have not updated my software since the last time I changed my router settings either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
