MG7720 won't connect with wireless security enabled

I recently purchased an MG7720, but have been unable to get it to connect to my wireless network when security is enabled on the router.  It does connect when when security is disabled.  I've tried the following:

 

- Changed security to WPA/PSK and attempted to configure from printer and from Mac via USB

- Changed security to WEP 128 bit encryption and attempted to configure from printer and from Mac via USB

- Changed security to WEP 64 bit encryption and attempted to configure from printer and from Mac via USB

- Changed security to WPA2/PSK and attempted to configure from printer and from Mac via USB

 

When trying to configure from the printer, I get a "Failed to connect to the wireless router" error.  

When configuring from my laptop via USB, I get the following error:

 

"The printer could not be connected to the specified wireless router.

The network password you entered is incorrect or does not correspond to the selected wireless router.
Enter the correct network password, or select the corresponding wireless router."

 

I changed the password before each of these attempts, and verified that I had the correct password by connecting to the WLAN with two other devices.

 

I've reset the router and the printer with no luck.  Any advice would be appreciated

I bought a canon pixma mg3122 and Im having trouble connecting it to my asus chromebook.  Anyone have any suggestions on connection? Please keep n mind Im not tech savvy at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Low Ink Warning

My printer is a Pixma MG4250 and I use it with a wireless connection to my I-pad.

 

Following a low ink warning I replaced the black ink cartridge, which was the one supplied with the printer, with a compatible cartridge from a reputable company in the UK which I have used for many years.

After having printed no more than 6 pages I once again received a low ink warning.

 

Can anyone please explain this and can I just ignore it and carry on printing.

PIXMA MG2922 Wireless set-up help

Hello,

 

I cannot get the PIXMA MG2922 to connect through the wireless LAN connection method. I've already tried what has been explained in here ( http://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Printer-Multifunction-Support/PIXMA-MG2922I-can-t-connect-wirelessly-don-t-know-how-to-pair-to/td-p/134708 ) but it won't work.

 

This model did not come with an USB cable nor it has any USB port. Wireless seems my only option but not even that works...

 

Any help would be so much appreciated. I've been stuck trying to connect it for the past hour and I just want to throw it away now.

After I switched from Verizon to Time/Warner my wireless printer won't connect to my computers.

The stored passwords are for the old Verizon setup. I don't see a place to change to the new Time/Warner login name and password. Where can I do this?

WINDOWS 10 - switched networks - new router. MP495 wireless connection process won't complete.

1. I have downloaded everything that I can download that is current for my printer, MP495. 

 

2. I turned OFF my firewall. 

 

3.I have read several forums trying to find a solution - it seems everyone wants to point to (A) software i've already downloaded, (b) mauals i already have (c) and have read, or (d) procedures i've already tried. 

 

4. I have reset my printer to the factory settings. 

 

5. I put the CD in my computer, run the setup, and do Easy Installation. It gets to the point where I have turned my printer on (YES IT IS ON), and connected the printer to my computer via USB (YES it is connected - i can create the printer on my computer directly by using this very USB cable). 

 

5.1 - After setting up the printer on my PC, i have UNINSTALLED the drivers using MP Drivers Uninstaller. Then tried to set up wirelessly. 

 

6. The software seems to find the printer. It says it is communicating with the printer. I get an error "there was an error with the printer." That's all, nothing else. I NEVER get the next step where it has detected access points. 

 

7. I have repeated this 7 times now, using different cables, different USB ports on my PC, uninstalling, reinstalling, etc. Still same result. 

 

8. The printer worked perfectly fine connected to my old network where i had my own modem+router. My cable company insisted I have their modem/router unit because of the phone bundling I signed up for. There is no manual for it and there is NO help on their website. 

 

What else can I try?

how to connect Canon Pixma MG2922 to a *new* wireless network

I just moved to a new apartment and have a new modem/router + wireless network and password.

 

My Pixma MG2922 was working beautifully on the old network, but now I can't figure out how to connect it to a new network. All of the tutorials that Canon has provided are relating to setting up a new printer, though still I've tried to follow any instructions I could find. I suspect that the issue is that the printer has already been setup and installed, and I need to do things slightly differently to get it to jump onto a new wireless network.

 

I'm running on a MacBook Pro (Yosemite), having no issues connecting to the internet on any of my non-printer devices, have tried running the Canon IJ Setup tool many times, reset LAN... none of that is working to allow my computer to find the printer wirelessly.

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

problem detecting Pixma Pro 100

here's my story..

i bought my printer initially in Nov 2014 but never set it up because i didn't have room for it in my tiny apartment. that was back when my Dell PC was running Windows 8.1. i have since upgraded to Windows 10 (July 2015) and have installed all updates.

just recently i closed on a condo and moved in a week ago. since i now have that much more space to utilize, i decided it was time to set up my printer once my computer was up and running. i installed the ink cartridges then pulled out the Pixma setup CD for Windows which was labeled U 1.2.

i turn the printer on in prep for the install and before i even attampt it, noticed that the blue wifi light was already lit up as if it recognized my wireless network setup. 

so i start the install and on the first screen it clearly states you need a wireless modem which i have. i select 'Network Connection' (for my wifi) then 'Wireless Connection'. the next screen says to make sure the printer is turned on which it is but again, so is the blue wifi light. i click 'Next' then 'Connect to Network' and 'WPS'.

i'm now on the screen that says this..

 

4-1 Connection Using WPS

 

 

press what button?

 

since i didn't know what to do, i kept going. eventually it gets to the point where it tries to detect the printer and this test fails every time...

 

i also tried downloading these files from your web site..

xp68-win-pro_100-5_86-ea32_2.exe

fuu_-win-pro_100-1_2-ea7.exe

 

but to no avail.

 

appreciate any help if you had any luck at all in comprehending what i said.

Hi Cannon family,

Santa brought me a new  IPAD ( smiling) unfortunately, I haven't been able to get my PIXMA MG6120 to print from it (not smiling). Any thoughts on how to make this happen?

I just got a pixma mg2922 printer
I'm trying to set up the phone to work with printer. As I do it. I turn on nfc and WiFi. It then asks to connect with lan. I guess the pc router. Why do I need to use lan. Do I have to have a home internet. My phone has internet and should work that way? I'd appreciate help here. Thank you. Scott

Canon MG5500 states offline - iMac

I am using an iMac and this printer has been working fine until this morning.  It now states it is offline and I have tried: Unplugging and re-plugging the printer, the computer, and the router.  I have also tried resetting the printer settings in System Preferences, and now when I try to add a new printer, it just comes up with a blank window, finding nothing.  I have been using this printer via wi-fi.

i have a canon mp495 wireless printer we have switched our wireless internet provider and gotten new routers, how do you get the printer to recognize the new router? i have tried many different things and it is not working. neither of us are very techy and need as much help as we can get with this lol

Chromebook printing on Canon MP620

How do we print from our Chromebook to our Canon MP620?  When we select "Chrome, Settings, Advanced Settings, Google Cloud Print, Manage" it does not show any devices in the device list.  Our Canon 620 is wireless, it is configured for our home wireless network, and we can print wirelessly from any of our Windows-based laptop.  We have gone thru the steps of the online Chromebook help screens and just find ourselves in a loop trying to "Add a Classic Printer".  Any help is welcome!

Can't Print Wireless with canon mx922

I've setup the wireless through wps and it went through. When I try to print from another pc in the house the printer just says processing with a rolling status bar and sits there for over 30 minutes until I shut the printer off in disgust. I'm on Windows 10 pc's. Printer driver updated with the latest driver on canon website.

Network Scangear cannot access to IR2530

Hello! Network Scangear cannot access to IR2530. I can ping the device, as well as using Remote UI. But when I run Scangear with specifying IP of IR2530, its says, that device is turned off or invalid IP or hostname (but see it's DNS name and there is feeder). Blame Canon for no documentation about troubleshooting it! Please help.

After weeks working fine, I can't now hook Macbook Pro laptop to Canon Pixma 3600. Ive tried everything, so please dont ask all the usaul basic questions.

 

Yes it's on same wifi; yes that works fine; yes I've tried reloading drivers, they refuse to load etc. Can send screenshots if it would help
